Prestigious German Mechanical Company offering outstanding work environment is looking for a Production Manager who will be in charge of the whole Production department of the Chinese plant in Shandong Province (including production planning, assembly, manufacturing engineering and maintenance) and of the management of around 180 employees.

The Production Manager is a key function in the company and is directly reporting to the General Manager (German).

Main responsibilities:

- Manage and develop the production area: assembly, production planning, manufacturing engineering, tool shop, maintenance and engineering data management (currently 180 employees -growing-);
- Guarantee that the production program is fulfilled in terms of quality, output, timing and profitability;
- Realize the agreed targets and set department targets independently;
- Manage and control the department with management indicators; report the management indicators;
- Operational and strategic planning: manpower, investment, cost and building planning;
- Initiate and implement projects and investment plans;
- Carry out continuous organisational, process and technical optimization of the department in order to increase efficiency, output and quality;
- Participate in company-wide projects regarding work safety, continuous improvement, organization development, process optimization;
- Promote and develop employees, participate in the selection of new employees.

Requirements:

- Bachelor or master degree in engineering/manufacturing technology or related discipline, technical apprenticeship is preferred;
- Several years of experience related to production and assembly;
- Strong leadership skills, experience as a manager;
- High degree of ability to work independently and under pressure, flexibility;
- Strong hands-on mentality and practical attitude;
- Interest and passion for working in an intercultural environment, international experience preferred;
- German native, fluent in English, willing to learn basic Chinese.
